Tariffs continue to create waves of disruption across the global economy. In recent weeks, the United States has imposed new tariffs ranging from 10% to 50% on imports from over 20 countries, including Canada, Brazil, and key Asian exporters. U.S. customs revenue hit $26.6 billion in June, quadrupling since early spring. This shift signals a trade balance favoring the U.S., but it also contributes to rising costs for businesses and consumers alike. The Consumer Price Index (CPI) shows inflation climbing to 2.7% in June, up from 2.4% in May, partly driven by these tariffs.1

Economists emphasize that the full impact of these tariffs has yet to materialize, suggesting that organizations should brace for continued inflation and volatility. For supply chain leaders, mitigating tariff impact is a top priority. Now is the time to act as waiting will only leave supply chains vulnerable to escalating costs and disruptions. Leaders should proactively research and implement tariff simulation and risk management tools to position their supply chains for greater flexibility and resiliency.

Why Tariff Simulation Tools Matter

Tariff simulation tools empower organizations to model potential tariff scenarios, assess cost impacts, and develop resilient sourcing strategies. They help companies understand the full scope of duties, fees, and landed costs while identifying opportunities to adapt through nearshoring, friendshoring, or reshoring initiatives.

Here is a deeper dive into some of the organizations offering solutions that offer visibility into the effects of tariffs.

Optilogic – Cosmic Frog

Optilogic’s Cosmic Frog software incorporates Lumina, a tool designed to simulate tariff effects across entire supply chains. Lumina helps users calculate detailed costs for raw materials, components, and finished goods as well as offering the features below.

  • Optimal network strategy development driven by tariff scenarios.
  • Feasibility analysis for nearshoring, friendshoring, and reshoring.
  • Profitability assessments and financial forecasting.
  • Simulation of future tariff impacts across supply chain metrics.

Cosmic Frog also provides templates and customizable models that allow organizations to pinpoint risks and opportunities.

Flexport – Tariff Simulator

Flexport’s Tariff Simulator enables users to calculate duties, special rates, and landed costs efficiently. By inputting an HTS code, shipment value, and country of origin, businesses receive:

  • A comprehensive duty rate and cost breakdown.
  • Landed cost analysis.
  • Insights into top trade partners and historical duty rates.

This tool enhances transparency and helps organizations make informed sourcing and pricing decisions.

SAP – IBP, Ariba, S/4HANA

SAP incorporates tariff awareness and mitigation tools into several of its platforms, including Integrated Business Planning (IBP), Ariba, and S/4HANA.2 Features include:

  • Scenario modeling for enterprise-wide tariff impact insights.
  • Automated supply and demand adjustments in response to tariff changes.
  • Support for proactive decision-making and operational continuity.

Infor – Nexus

Infor Nexus focuses on multi-enterprise supply chain visibility and cost management, integrating tariff monitoring and global trade management (GTM).3 Key benefits:

  • Real-time spend analysis.
  • Procurement trend insights.
  • Optimization strategies to avoid bottlenecks caused by tariff disruptions.

Blue Yonder

Blue Yonder recently introduced AI Agents that help businesses respond to complex supply chain scenarios, including evolving geopolitical and trade situations.4 These agents:

  • Provide machine-speed decision-making.
  • Enhance adaptability amid disruptions.
  • Integrate with Blue Yonder’s broader suite of network design and sourcing optimization tools.

Altana – Tariff Scenario Planner

Altana offers a dynamic AI-driven platform described as the “Premier Tariff Management Software.” It features:

  • Tariff exposure modeling.
  • Dynamic digital twin of the global supply chain.
  • Collaboration tools for buyers, suppliers, logistics providers, and government agencies.

Altana has gained recognition in media outlets like WSJ and CNBC for its innovative approach to tariff mitigation.5

Resilinc AI

Resilinc AI recently launched an Agentic AI tool focusing on supply chain risk management and compliance. Their solution allows users to:

  • Model tariff impacts.
  • Identify cost mitigation opportunities.
  • Strengthen supply chain resiliency.

Resilinc was recently named a Leader in Gartner’s 2025 Magic Quadrant for Supplier Risk Management Solutions.

Manhattan Associates

While not exclusively focused on tariffs, Manhattan Associates (MA) has introduced Agent Foundry, a platform enabling the creation of custom AI agents. These agents can be adapted for various supply chain challenges, including tariff-related disruptions. According to MA’s CTO6, “the initiative empowers customers to create digital agents without relying on vendor development cycles, fostering agility and innovation.”

With tariff policies evolving at a rapid pace, organizations can no longer afford to rely on static supply chain strategies. Investing in modern simulation and mitigation tools is not just about compliance; it’s about building a resilient, future-ready supply chain. These platforms provide the data transparency, scenario modeling, and AI-driven insights that today’s supply chain leaders need to navigate ongoing tariff challenges.
