With great sadness, we announce the passing of Jeffrey B. Graves, one of the Principals of Sedlak Supply Chain Consultants. After a year-long battle with cancer, Jeff passed away at age 72 on July 12, 2020.
Jeff began working for his father-in-law and Sedlak’s founder, Joseph A. Sedlak, in 1972. Jeff went on to serve as president from 1989 to 2013. While at Sedlak, he was responsible for the conceptualization and development of more than 100 major projects that exceeded 20 million sq. ft. of distribution space.
He is survived by his devoted wife Mary; daughters Colleen (Alex) Bagne, Kara (Alan) Ashby, and Meghan (Bill) Laws; and nine grandchildren, Madeline and Kaitlin Ashby; James, Jack, Josephine and Julia Bagne; and Abigail, Griffin and Emmaline Laws. In his personal life, Jeff was an avid fisherman, golfer and wood worker. In the week before his death, he was able to enjoy spending time with his entire family.
Founded in 1958, Sedlak Supply Chain Consultants is a family-owned business managed by second- and third-generation family members – President Kara Ashby and Principals Patrick Sedlak and Ned Sedlak. They continue to uphold Sedlak’s standards of client service and the firm’s founding principles of balancing Faith, Family and Profession.
While we are devastated to lose Jeff, we are grateful to have known and worked with him. Jeff was an incredible leader, businessman, friend, mentor, teacher, husband, father and grandfather. He will be greatly missed. The family will be holding a private service at St. Joan of Arc parish. A memorial to honor Jeff will be held at a later date.
