Our client since 1993, VF Corporation is the world’s largest apparel
company. Recently, we completed for VF a long-term distribution supply
chain blueprint that outlined optimal strategic direction and identified
gaps between this vision and Imagewear’s current distribution
capability.
Fourteen facilities within VF’s vast manufacturing and distribution
network formed the baseline for this study. Scenario modeling and analysis
was conducted to identify facility targets for closure/relocation;
re-layouts of facilities; and opportunities for improving processes,
technologies, utilization of facilities, and leveraging other corporate
facilities within the VF infrastructure.
