Strategy Development

Our client since 1993, VF Corporation is the world’s largest apparel company. Recently, we completed for VF a long-term distribution supply chain blueprint that outlined optimal strategic direction and identified gaps between this vision and Imagewear’s current distribution capability.

Fourteen facilities within VF’s vast manufacturing and distribution network formed the baseline for this study. Scenario modeling and analysis was conducted to identify facility targets for closure/relocation; re-layouts of facilities; and opportunities for improving processes, technologies, utilization of facilities, and leveraging other corporate facilities within the VF infrastructure.

Exel is a third-party logistics service provider with whom we’ve worked for many years on several different projects. A few years ago, Exel asked for our assistance in preparing a proposal for a very large company to develop solutions for the supply chain network of two company divisions.

In addition, Exel asked us to evaluate alternative import supply chain networks scenarios for the new client, a 1,500-store retailer. We worked with Exel to analyze the current import network, develop alternative solutions and investigate the impact of each scenario on store cost and service levels.
