Sedlak Participates in Impressive Material Handling Logistics Summit

Patrick Sedlak took part in the 2007 Material Handling Logistics Summit June 26 through 28 in Whitefish, Montana. The Material Handling Industry of America brought together for this inaugural event over 40 supply chain and logistics professionals in face-to-face discussions about current and future industry trends and challenges.

Through roundtable discussions, representative academics, solution providers, consultants and users created an impressive list of 52 initiatives grouped into 14 themes. Three examples are powerhouse funding source to support large initiatives such as MH research, education, innovation and development; cross industry standards for open integration and operability; and worker-centric distribution center design as workplaces of excellence.

The MHIA is first creating a summit website, then refining the group’s strategy and action plans and ultimately forming committees, made up of summit participants and others, to address the initiatives.
